An Expressive Painting Workshop at East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens in North Norfolk.
Join The East Ruston Artists for a relaxed morning of creativity at the stunning and inspiring gardens at East Ruston Old Vicarage.
Led by artists Ashley Munro Scott and Jane D’Arcy, this two and a half hour workshop invites you to explore your artistic side, enjoy painting freely creating your own vibrant painting on paper. No experience or artistic background is needed. Simply bring yourself, a friend or two, and a willingness to get creative.
The aim of the class is to help people with the starting points to begin confidently painting, with shape and colour. Most importantly, we will be encouraging a relaxed painting style and the freedom to express emotions in your work without boundaries. We will help you to release your creativity.
Ashley and Jane will be on hand to demonstrate, encourage and give advice.
We will start with a group exercise to loosen everyone up and then work on individual paintings.
A relaxed painting workshop with Ashley and Jane
Gather your friends and enjoy a morning of colour, creativity and good company.
Using their signature techniques, Ashley and Jane will guide you step by step as you create an expressive painting on heavy paper using bold colour, playful marks and a big dose of joy. You won't be following a template or recreating someone else's artwork. Instead, you'll be encouraged to trust your instincts and create a painting that is completely your own using a still life curated by Ashley and Jane.
The only rule is simple, drop perfection and allow the paint to land where it feels right.

- Free entrance to East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens with time to stroll after the workshop with Ashley and Jane

Good to know
- We recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting paint on, as acrylic paint does not wash out. We cannot accept liability for any damage to clothing or personal belongings as a result of using the materials we provide.
- The finished painting may be wet when you leave so something to pop it on in your car may be an idea.
- Our workshop is the perfect opportunity to relax, get creative and leave with something uniquely yours.
You may cancel your workshop with a full refund no later than two weeks prior to the date of your booked workshop.
